Government Commission
2017
Royal Customs was commissioned by a government entity to develop and fabricate a bespoke automotive work as part of a large-scale experiential project.
Conceived within a post-apocalyptic dieselpunk landscape of war rigs and monster trucks, the commission called for an automotive work that would become part of the visual language of its surrounding environment, while meeting the technical requirements of a public installation.
Drawing on its automotive design, engineering and specialist fabrication capabilities, Royal Customs developed a one-off work in response to the project’s distinctive creative direction, translating an unconventional concept into physical form.
Further details of the commission remain confidential.
